Andreev Nikolay

Nikolai Andreev was born into a family of musicians. From an early age he began studying violin under the guidance of his parents. In 2004, he graduated with honors from the Musical College. Rimsky-Korsakov, five years later – also with honors from the Petersburg Conservatory.

Laureate of several international competitions, including the winner of two First Prizes (in the nominations “solo performance” and “chamber ensembles”) of the XIII international competition “Hopes, talents, masters” in Bulgarian Dobrich (2008).

Since 2012 he has been the second concertmaster of the St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra. In 2016 he was admitted to the Union of Concert Figures of St. Petersburg. Fellow of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 2017 and 2018.

Repeatedly performed as a soloist with various St. Petersburg orchestras, including the Capella Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Classics Orchestra, the Y. Paulavičius. In 2013, as part of the Capella tour in Holland, he performed with the orchestra at the Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam, as well as in Rotterdam, The Hague and other cities.

He took part in concerts of the Capella soloists as part of the cultural and business mission of St. Petersburg in Arkhangelsk and Vladimir in 2015. In 2018, together with pianist Ilya Chirskov, he gave a concert at the Russian Center for Culture and Science in Vienna (Austria).

The first performer of the concert “Petrograd Mosaic” for violin and orchestra by the Serbian composer Svetislav Bozic (2015, conductor – Alexander Chernushenko).

Combines active concert activity with composing music. Works written by Nikolai were performed in the Kochneva House hall, the Mikhail Shemyakin Foundation’s exhibition hall, the Composers House Hall, the Architect’s House Bronze Hall, the Capella Chamber Hall, the Institute of Technology and Design hall (within the framework of the Student Philharmonic Society project by Svyatoslav Luther), the Small Hall of St. Philharmonic.
