"All Schumann Symphonies"

On the 210th anniversary of the birth of Robert Schumann, which will be celebrated in 2020, the St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra will perform all four symphonies of the great composer. “Schumann’s symphonies are second only to Beethoven’s Ninth,” wrote the famous composer and music critic Caesar Cui.

Concerts of the Schumann subscription will be conducted by Valentin Uryupin, conductor and clarinetist, one of the most versatile and sought-after Russian musicians of the younger generation, laureate of many prestigious international competitions.
