Tigran Mirzoy

Was born in 2000 in St. Petersburg. In 2006—2016. studied piano in the class of L. A. Trofimova at the music school number 12, in 2012-2016. – percussion instruments in the class of E. F. Kucherova at the same school. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Music College named after V.I. Rimsky-Korsakov, specializing in percussion instruments (class of D. N. Klemenko).

In 2014, he won first place at the II International open competition-festival Petersburg Style. In 2015, he became a laureate of the Young Talents Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg and took first place at the 5th St. Petersburg open competition for young performers on wind and percussion instruments. In 2016, as a member of the duet, he again became a laureate of the Young Talents award and won first place in the percussion ensemble at the St. Petersburg Spring International Competition. In 2018, he took third place at the International Children and Youth Competition for Percussion Instruments, in 2020 – second place in a solo nomination and third place in a duet at the International Competition for Percussion Instruments DrumTime.

In 2019 he took part in the Aleksey Gerasimts Summer Academy in Germany. Participated in master classes by Francesca Santangelo, Ruud Wiener, Alexei Gerasimets, Marinus Comst.

He has performed in marimb concerts at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, in the Annenkirche Lutheran Church, and as part of a quintet. Since 2017, he began to receive invitations to the orchestras of the Music Hall, the Mikhailovsky Theater, and the Mariinsky Theater.

Since 2019 – artist of the percussion group in the Symphony Orchestra of the Capella of St. Petersburg.
