Vadim Messerman

Honored Artist of Russia (2005). Was born in 1955 in Leningrad. Graduated from the Leningrad State Conservatory in 1979 (class of Professor E. G. Fishman).

In 1977-1988. – Accompanist of the cello group in the Hermitage chamber orchestra. Has toured in Italy and Germany with the Hermitage trio. 1988-1990 – Soloist of the chamber ensemble “Soloists of Leningrad” conducted by Mikhail Gantvarg. Since 1991 – concertmaster of the cello group of the orchestra of the Leningrad State Academic Maly Opera and Ballet Theater. Mussorgsky (Mikhailovsky Theater).

In 1992-1993 worked in an orchestra at Radio Zagreb (Croatia). From 1995 to 2000 he was a member of the Modern Trio ensemble. He actively gives concerts as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles.

Since 2015 Vadim Messerman has been an artist of the St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra, concertmaster of the cello group.
