In 1999, he graduated from the Specialized Music School at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Rimsky-Korsakov in the piano class (teachers – V. Ya. Kunde and N.N. Seregina) and in the clarinet class (teacher – N.N. Kiryukhin), in 2004 – the St. Petersburg Conservatory in the clarinet class (teacher – N.N. Kiryukhin). In 2003 he trained in Hannover with Professor Johannes Peitz.
Since 2000 Victor Irshai has been an artist of the St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra. During his time in the orchestra, he took part in all the recordings and tours of the band. As a soloist he performed with the Capella Orchestra under the baton of Vladislav Chernushenko, Alexander Chernushenko, Ilya Derbilov. Solo programs include works by Gaetano Donizetti, a concertino for clarinet by Anatoly Kalvarsky, a jazz concert for clarinet and an Allan Gilliland orchestra. Took part in master classes by Johannes Peitz, Martin Spangenberg, Ralph Manno.
In 2014, together with his colleagues in the orchestra, he organized the In Time clarinet quartet, with which he regularly performs in various halls of St. Petersburg, including the Concert and Chamber Halls of the Capella of St. Petersburg, the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theater, the Concert Hall of the Composers Union, etc.
Victor Irshai is also successfully engaged in teaching activities. Since 2008 he has been teaching a clarinet class at the Center for Creative Development and Humanitarian Education “On Vasilievsky”.
