Was born in 1982 in Leningrad. Graduated from the music school. Sviridov in the cello class (teacher – O. I. Rudneva), in 2003 – the Musical College. Mussorgsky (specialty – “double bass”) in the class of O. I. Kirillov and in 2010, the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Rimsky-Korsakov in A. A. Shilo’s class.
Since 2011, Viktor Kononenko has been an artist of the St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra. Since 2017 he has also worked for the Mikhailovsky Theater Symphony Orchestra. Until 2011, he played in the Chamber Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, the orchestra of the St. Petersburg Opera, the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by R. E. Martynov.
Viktor Kononenko has repeatedly become a participant in youth and professional international projects in Europe and Asia (Baltic Youth Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of India, The Nordic Symphony Orchestra, etc.). Laureate of the International Festival in Bulgaria (2001).
