Vladislav Verkovich

Born in 1956. He received his primary musical education at the Choir School named after V.I. Glinka at the Leningrad Academic Capella. Graduated from the Musical College. Rimsky-Korsakov in the clarinet class (teachers – N.N. Kiryukhin and I.G. Roginsky). In his third year he worked in the stage orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater. In 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in the class of Professor P.N.Sukhanov. During his studies he worked in the theater symphony orchestra.

In 1983 he became a laureate of the All-Russian and All-Union contests of performers on woodwind instruments.

Until 1985 he was a soloist with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra. In 1985-1991. —Artist (bass clarinet) of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Leningrad Philharmonic under the baton of A. Dmitriev. In 1991-1995. – Soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra. In 1995—2013. – Soloist of the ZKR Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic under the direction of Y. Kh. Temirkanov.

Vladislav Verkovich has been collaborating with the Symphony Orchestra of the Capella of St. Petersburg since its foundation in 1991, acting as a guest musician, as well as a curator and tutor for a group of woodwind instruments.

Since 2013 – artist of the orchestra.

During his career, he took part in major festival projects in many cities of Europe, America, Japan. He worked with such conductors as E.F.Svetlanov, V.A.Gergiev, G.N.Rozhdestvensky, Yu.I. Simonov, J. Solti and others.
